SEPTEMBER 2020: WELCOME BACK!

Currently, due to Covid-19 restrictions, the blogging team are unable to meet - and we are not able to hold whole-school events. For the time being, please head over to our Twitter (@ManorFieldJun) to keep up with the children's learning. We will be posting updates wherever possible!

Thursday 5th March: World Book Day!

Today was ‘World Book Day’ at Manor Field.

We have been working hard in our classes for the last week, contributing to the national ‘share a million stories’.

After showcasing our World Book Day costumes during Mrs Popplewell’s assembly, we completed some activities throughout the day: these included creating our own bookmarks and designing our own World Book Day book tokens.

After school, many of our wonderful parents and children joined Mrs Sangway, Miss Chapman and Miss Towell for bedtime hour. During the evening, we took part in a variety of activities, based around ‘The Witches’, by Roald Dahl. The children (and parents!) enjoyed hot chocolate and biscuits, before snuggling up and sharing a story.

Thank you so much to those of you who joined us and thank you to those parents (and children!) who left such positive comments after Bedtime Hour - there were so many and they were all very much appreciated.

" Thank you for always going the extra teacher mile for our children - it, and you, are appreciated xx"

"Awesome time spent with my son. That added little extra time doing something with him."

"Most enjoyable reading experience ever. Well done!"

"Great to see a World Book Day about books and not just dressing up."

"Amazing time and staff who are caring and not afraid to look silly just for the sake of the children's enjoyment."

"It was lovely to spend some 1-1 time with my daughter. We LOVE reading!"

"Always fun at sleepy hour!!"
